A June Present

Out of the blue, with no apparent reason, CVS awarded nearly all it's customers with a special valid-three-days-only one-time 2.00ECB. This present came on top of the earlier $5OFF$15 coupon received when making an in-store purchase early in the week.

After two quick scans of my cards, I now have 12.00ECB for Household1 and 21.00ECB for Household2.

2010-06-07 -- $1.98 Quickie

I didn't really have time to map out a strategy, but once I heard that recepts were generating an extremely valuable 72-hour "Save $5 on $15 Purchase" coupon, I raced to CVS and made a simple purchase.  Of course, the purchase also generated an ECB too.

I began with 9.00ECB.

And, when the receipt printed out, I had a nice $5OFF$15 coupon to use within 72 hours.  It wasn't the best money-maker around, but now I can plot further transactions for the week.

Surprise Survey = 5.00ECB

When you have your CVS card registered, there is always a chance that you will be e-mailed a link to a private marketing survey.  In return for your answers, you may receive anything from 2ECB to 20ECB.  There is no rhyme or reason to the surveys and its unclear what generated the e-mail selection.

Last Friday, I received an invite to complete a survey about CVS Private Label products.  Luckily, I saw the invite shortly after its arrival, as many times the survey period ends quickly once they have enough replies.  In return for roughly 3 minutes of keyboard clicking with my opinions about the CVS/[harmacy generic name-brand logos and "presentation", I was rewarded with a special 5.00ECB.

So, without shopping, my ECB total grew from 12.00ECB to 17.00ECB

The Lost Transaction

Ooopsies

I began with 13.00ECB, spent 8.00ECB, but earned back 7.00ECB (5.00ECB for Fusion ProGuide Razor and 2.00ECB for Ban).  My balance is now 12.00ECB.

May !!

It wasn't exactly a crazy CVS Month of May.  Only 11 transactions, barely costing twenty dollars, most of which came at the end of the month to "re-launch" my rested CVS card.  Yet, I still increased my overall ECB balance and purchased nearly $200 in items.
