Since the cashier reduced my 1.00ECB to 0.73ECB, my balance became exactly "$0.00".  The tax amount came to $0.77, so that was my total amount spent out-of-pocket.  Afterward, I also realized that I had forgotten to use one of my "Save $2 on an CVS Skin Care" coupons, so I could have kept one of my 2ECB for future use and had the same OOP expense.

I began with 10.50ECB, spent 9ECB (actually only 8.73ECB), and received 10.99ECB (8ECB for the OralB and 2.99 for the Nivea).  The balance for my second household account is 12.49ECB.  Once again, CVS has paid me to shop.
