I began with 7.50ECB on Card2. While shopping, I located one of the CVS Holiday Catalogs. Inside the catalog was a coupon that "awarded" a 4.00ECB when your purchase amount exceeded $20 (before coupons). This caused me to morph my plans on the fly, leading to a bit more extra out-of-pocket cost than I prefer, but things mostly worked out, over the course of three separate transactions.

The balance came to $7.84, plus an additional $1.58 in local tax. The grand total was a massive $9.42. In addition, I noticed several hours later that somehow 1.00ECB did not get scanned. The ECB most likely stuck to another and in the flurry of the moment was overlooked, discarded, and un-scanned. Argggg.
So, for the initial transaction, I spent all 7.50ECB and earned 20.34ECB (7.98 for Herbal Essense, 4.00ECB from the catalog coupon, 4.00ECB for Old Spice, 1.59ECB for M+M, 0.99ECB for Advil PM, 0.99ECB for Excedrin, and 0.79ECB for Reeses.) It was time for Transaction #2.

After three transactions, Card2 has 24.35ECB. I began with a mere 7.50ECB and spent a whopping $13.32 in actual cash. Yet, once again, CVS has paid me $3.50-ish to shop on Black Friday Weekend. It wasn't a huge moneymaker, mostly due to lack of store coupons.
